Chapter on Supplications – Explaining that the prayers of the Ummah upon the Prophet are presented to him in his grave
Hadith Number: 910
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة ، قال: حدثنا ابو كريب ، قال: حدثنا حسين بن علي ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن جابر ، عن ابي الاشعث الصنعاني ، عن اوس بن اوس ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن من افضل ايامكم يوم الجمعة، فيه خلق الله آدم، وفيه قبض، وفيه النفخة، وفيه الصعقة، فاكثروا علي من الصلاة فيه، فإن صلاتكم معروضة علي". قالوا: وكيف تعرض صلاتنا عليك وقد ارمت؟ فقال:" إن الله جل وعلا حرم على الارض ان تاكل اجسامنا" .
Sayyiduna Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most virtuous of your days is Friday. On this day Allah Almighty created Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him). On this day he passed away. On this day the first trumpet will be blown, and on this day the Resurrection will occur. So send abundant blessings upon me on this day, for your blessings will be presented before me." They asked: "How will our blessings be presented before you when you will have decayed?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets."
