كِتَابُ الطَّهَارَةِ
Book of Purification
ذكر البيان بأن الكتف الذي لم يتوضأ صلى الله عليه وسلم من أكله كان ذلك كتف شاة لا كتف إبل
Clarification that the shoulder from which the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not perform ablution was sheep shoulder, not camel shoulder
Hadith Number: 1144
اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان ، قال: اخبرنا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن زيد بن اسلم ، عن عطاء بن يسار ، عن ابن عباس ،" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اكل كتف شاة، ثم صلى ولم يتوضا" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the meat of a goat's shoulder, then he performed prayer and did not perform ablution again.
