Chapter on Nullifiers of Ablution – Report indicating permission to omit ablution after eating fruit
Hadith Number: 1160
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا سعيد بن حفص خال النفيلي ، قال: حدثنا موسى بن اعين ، عن عمرو بن الحارث ، عن ابي الزبير ، عن جابر ، انهم كانوا ياكلون تمرا على ترس،" فمر بنا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقلنا: هلم، فتقدم فاكل معنا من التمر، ولم يمس ماء" .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Those people were eating dates placed on a shield. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by us. We requested: Please come forward. He came forward and ate dates with us, and he did not touch water (i.e., he did not perform ablution again).
