Chapter on Vessels – The reason for these commands at this time
Hadith Number: 1276
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن الحجاج ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن حبيب المعلم ، عن عطاء بن ابي رباح ، عن جابر بن عبد الله ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " كفوا فواشيكم حتى تذهب فزعة العشاء، فإنها ساعة يحترق فيها الشيطان" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep your livestock (inside the house) confined until the early part of the night passes, because this is an hour in which Satan sets fire."
