Menstruation and irregular bleeding: Refuting those who claim this narration is unique to Muawiyah ibn Hisham from Sufyan
Hadith Number: 1358
اخبرنا محمد بن عمر بن يوسف ، قال: حدثنا بشر بن خالد ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، عن سليمان ، عن ثابت بن عبيد ، عن القاسم بن محمد ، عن عائشة ، انها قالت: قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ناوليني الخمرة"، قالت: فقلت:" إني حائض"، قال:" إنها ليست في يدك" ، فناولته. قال ابو حاتم: سمع هذا الخبر الاعمش، عن ثابت بن عبيد، عن البهي، والقاسم جميعا، عن عائشة.
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Hand me the mat." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I am in the state of menstruation." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your menstruation is not in your hand." So I handed him the (mat). (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration has been reported by A'mash from Thabit bin Ubaid, and also from Qasim, both from Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).
