Prayer times: Clarifying that delaying prayer in heat refers only to Dhuhr, not other prayers
Hadith Number: 1508
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن السامي ، قال: حدثنا احمد بن حنبل ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن يوسف ، قال: حدثنا شريك ، عن بيان، عن قيس بن ابي حازم ، عن المغيرة بن شعبة ، قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، بالهاجرة، فقال: " ابردوا بالصلاة، فإن شدة الحر من فيح جهنم" . قال ابو حاتم رضي الله عنه: تفرد به إسحاق الازرق.
Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at noon. He said: Perform the prayer at a cooler time, for the severity of heat is part of the heat of Hell. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) In narrating this report, the narrator Ishaq Azraq is unique.
