باب المساجد - ذكر الخبر الدال على أن الخارج من بيته يريد مسجد المدينة من أي بلد كان يكتب له بإحدى خطوتيه حسنة
Chapter on Mosques - Report indicating that every step towards the Prophet’s Mosque is rewarded.
Hadith Number: 1622
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، ويزيد بن هارون ، قالا: اخبرنا ابن ابي ذئب ، عن الاسود بن العلاء بن جارية ، عن ابي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " من حين يخرج احدكم من منزله إلى مسجدي، فرجل تكتب له حسنة، ورجل تحط عنه سيئة، حتى يرجع" .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever leaves his house heading towards this mosque of mine, for every step he takes, a good deed is written for him, and with the next step, one of his sins is erased. (This continues) until he returns."
