Chapter on Mosques - Clarification that the Prophet saw both minor and major deeds of his nation when presented to him.
Hadith Number: 1641
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن اسماء ، حدثنا مهدي بن ميمون ، حدثنا واصل مولى ابي عيينة، عن يحيى بن عقيل، عن يحيى بن يعمر ، عن ابي الاسود ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " عرضت علي امتي حسنها وسيئها، فوجدت في محاسن اعمالها إماطة الاذى عن الطريق، ووجدت في مساوئ اعمالها النخامة تكون في المسجد لا تدفن" .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The good and bad deeds of my Ummah were presented before me. Among their good deeds, I found the removal of something harmful from the road, and among their bad deeds, I found the spittle that was in the mosque and had not been buried."
