Chapter on Mosques - The reason for this instruction.
Hadith Number: 1649
اخبرنا احمد بن خالد بن عبد الملك بن عبيد الله بن مسرح ، بحران، قال: حدثنا عمي الوليد بن عبد الملك ، قال: حدثنا عيسى بن يونس ، قال: حدثنا بريد ، قال: حدثنا ابو بردة ، عن ابي موسى ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا مر احدكم في اسواقنا او مسجدنا بنبل فليمسك على نصولها، لئلا يصيب احدا من المسلمين" .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person passes through our marketplace or mosque carrying arrows, he should hold them by their tips so that they do not harm any Muslim."
