Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Permissibility of reciting the mentioned surahs in Fajr prayer
Hadith Number: 1819
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا محرز بن عون ، قال: حدثنا خلف بن خليفة ، عن الوليد بن سريع ، عن عمرو بن حريث ، قال:" صليت خلف النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الفجر، فسمعته يقرا: فلا اقسم بالخنس الجوار الكنس سورة التكوير آية 15 - 16"، وكان لا يحني رجل منا ظهره حتى يستتم ساجدا .
Sayyiduna Amr bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I performed the Fajr prayer behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). I heard him reciting this verse: «فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ» . The narrator says: None of us would bend our backs (for prostration) until the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had completely gone into prostration.
