Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Affirmation that one who shortens bowing and prostration is called a thief
Hadith Number: 1888
اخبرنا القطان ، بالرقة، قال: حدثنا هشام بن عمار ، قال: حدثنا عبد الحميد بن ابي العشرين ، عن الاوزاعي ، عن يحيى بن ابي كثير ، عن ابي سلمة ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اسوا الناس سرقة الذي يسرق صلاته". قال: وكيف يسرق صلاته؟ قال:" لا يتم ركوعها، ولا سجودها" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The worst thief among people is the one who steals from his prayer." They asked: How does he steal from his prayer? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He does not perform its bowing (ruku') and its prostration (sujud) completely."
