Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Command to prostrate on the seven limbs
Hadith Number: 1923
اخبرنا احمد بن يحيى بن زهير ، حدثنا عبد الله بن الصباح العطار ، حدثنا محمد بن سواء ، حدثنا شعبة ، وروح بن القاسم ، عن عمرو بن دينار ، عن طاوس ، عن ابن عباس ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" امرت ان اسجد على سبعة، ولا اكف شعرا، ولا ثوبا" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven parts (of the body), and I should not fold my hair or garment (during prayer)."
