Section on Qunut - The Prophet's qunut in prayers
Hadith Number: 1982
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، حدثنا مسدد ، عن يحيى القطان ، عن هشام الدستوائي ، عن قتادة ، عن انس ، قال: " قنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم شهرا بعد الركوع، يدعو على احياء من العرب، ثم تركه" .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Qunoot Nazilah for a month after bowing (ruku’). In it, he supplicated against the Arab tribes, then he abandoned this practice.
