Chapter on the Obligation to Follow the Imam – Prohibition of Standing for Prayer Until the Imam is Seen
Hadith Number: 2222
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا مسدد ، قال: حدثنا يحيى ، عن حجاج الصواف ، عن يحيى بن ابي كثير ، عن عبد الله بن ابي قتادة، عن ابيه ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إذا اقيمت الصلاة، فلا تقوموا حتى تروني" .
Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "When the Iqamah for prayer is pronounced, do not stand up until you see me."
