Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Permissibility to Pray on a Mat
Hadith Number: 2307
اخبرنا بكر بن احمد بن سعيد العابد ، قال: حدثنا نصر بن علي ، قال: حدثنا عيسى بن يونس ، عن الاعمش ، عن ابي سفيان ، عن جابر ، قال: حدثني ابو سعيد الخدري " انه دخل على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فرآه يصلي على حصير يسجد عليه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing prayer on a mat. He was prostrating on it.
