Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Command to Pray Close to the Barrier
Hadith Number: 2372
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير ، قال: حدثنا ابو خالد الاحمر ، عن ابن عجلان ، عن زيد بن اسلم ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي سعيد الخدري ، عن ابيه ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا صلى احدكم إلى سترة، فليدن منها، فإن الشيطان يمر بينه وبينها، ولا يدع احدا يمر بين يديه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person performs prayer facing a sutrah, he should stand close to the sutrah, because Satan passes between that person and the sutrah, and then he should not allow anyone to pass in front of him."
