Section on Witr prayer – mentioning a second report explicitly permitting what was previously described
Hadith Number: 2440
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا عبدة بن سليمان ، قال: حدثنا هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة ، قالت:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوتر بخمس، لا يجلس في شيء من الخمس إلا في آخرهن، يجلس ثم يسلم" .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to perform five rak'ahs of Witr. He would not sit between these five rak'ahs. He would only sit at the end of them, and after sitting, he would say the salam.
