Section on voluntary prayers – mentioning the recommendation to hasten to the two rak’ahs before Fajr following the Prophet’s example
Hadith Number: 2456
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة ، حدثنا يعقوب الدورقي ، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن ابن جريج ، اخبرني عطاء ، عن عبيد بن عمير ، عن عائشة " ان نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يكن على شيء من النوافل اشد معاهدة منه على الركعتين قبل الصبح" .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform any voluntary prayer with more regularity than the two rak'ahs of Sunnah before Fajr.
