Section on voluntary prayers – mentioning a report indicating that the instruction to pray four rak’ahs after Jumu’ah refers to two tasleems, not one
Hadith Number: 2482
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا عبيد الله بن معاذ بن معاذ ، حدثنا ابي ، عن شعبة ، عن يعلى بن عطاء ، سمع عليا البارقي ، عن ابن عمر ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " صلاة الليل والنهار مثنى مثنى" ، قال ابو حاتم: والبارق: جبل ازد.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "The (voluntary) prayers of the night and day are to be performed two by two." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Al-Bariq is a mountain of "Azd."
