Hadith Number: 2589
اخبرنا عمر بن محمد الهمداني ، قال: حدثنا يوسف بن موسى ، قال: حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى ، عن إسرائيل ، عن ابي إسحاق، عن الاسود ، قال: سالنا عائشة عن صلاة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالليل، فقالت:" كان ينام اول الليل، ويقوم آخره" .
Aswad reports: We asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the night prayer of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): She replied: He would sleep in the early part of the night and perform voluntary prayers in the last part of the night.
