Section on Night Prayer - Mention of the number of units the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed at night
Hadith Number: 2611
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون ، قال: اخبرنا شعبة ، عن ابي جمرة ، عن ابن عباس ، قال:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي من الليل ثلاث عشرة ركعة" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer thirteen rak‘ahs at night.
