Section on Night Prayer - Clarification that the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed night prayer while traveling as he did at home
Hadith Number: 2629
اخبرنا الحسين بن محمد بن مصعب ، بالسنج، قال: حدثنا محمد بن مسكين اليمامي ، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن حسان ، قال: حدثنا سليمان بن بلال ، عن شرحبيل بن سعد ، قال: سمعت جابر بن عبد الله ، قال" رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اناخ راحلته، ثم نزل فصلى عشر ركعات ركعتين ركعتين، ثم اوتر بواحدة، وصلى ركعتي الفجر، ثم صلى الصبح" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he made his mount sit down, then he dismounted and performed ten rak‘ahs, two at a time. Then he performed one rak‘ah of witr, then he performed two rak‘ahs (sunnah) of Fajr, then he performed the morning (Fajr) prayer.
