Section on Women’s Travel - Mention of a narration that may seem to the untrained that a woman may travel less than three days without a mahram
Hadith Number: 2730
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا هشام بن عمار ، عن انس بن عياض ، قال: حدثني عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا تسافر المراة ثلاثة ايام إلا ومعها ذو محرم" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "No woman should travel for three days except that her mahram is with her (then it is permissible)."
