Section on Prayer During Travel - Narration indicating that one intending travel may not shorten until leaving the town’s houses behind
Hadith Number: 2744
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن الجنيد ، قال: حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن زيد ، عن ايوب ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن انس بن مالك " ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الظهر بالمدينة اربعا، وصلى العصر بذي الحليفة ركعتين" ، قال: اخبرنا انس: وسمعهم يصرخون بهما الحج والعمرة.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performed four rak‘ahs of the Zuhr prayer in Madinah Munawwarah, and he performed two rak‘ahs of the Asr prayer at Dhul-Hulaifah. The narrator states: Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) informed us that he had heard people reciting the Talbiyah for Hajj and ‘Umrah aloud.
