Chapter on Friday Prayer - Warning against telling others to be quiet while the imam is delivering the Friday sermon
Hadith Number: 2795
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: عبد الرزاق ، قال: اخبرنا ابن جريج ومالك ، عن الزهري ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إذا قال الرجل لصاحبه: انصت والإمام يخطب، فقد لغا" ، قال ابن جريج : واخبرني ابن شهاب ، عن عمر بن عبد العزيز ، عن إبراهيم بن عبد الله بن قارظ ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، مثله.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "When a person says to his companion 'Be quiet' while the Imam is delivering the sermon, then he has engaged in idle talk." Ibn Jurayj states: The same narration is transmitted through another chain from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him.
