Chapter on Friday Prayer - Description of the sermon given when needed
Hadith Number: 2801
اخبرنا سليمان بن الحسن العطار ، قال: حدثنا عبيد الله بن معاذ بن معاذ ، قال: حدثنا ابي ، حدثنا شعبة ، قال: حدثني سماك بن حرب ، قال: سالت جابر بن سمرة ، كيف كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يخطب؟ قال:" كان صلى الله عليه وسلم، يخطب، ثم يقعد قعدة، ثم يقوم فيخطب" .
Simak bin Harb narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver the sermon. He replied: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would first deliver a sermon, then he would sit for a while. Then he would stand up and deliver the sermon again.
