Eid Prayers - Recommendation to eat dates before going out for Eid al-Fitr prayer
Hadith Number: 2813
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابو بكر بن ابي شيبة ، قال: حدثنا هشيم ، قال: حدثنا ابن إسحاق ، عن حفص بن عبيد الله بن انس ، عن انس بن مالك ، قال:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يفطر على تمرات، ثم يغدو" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of Eid al-Fitr would eat dates and then proceed (towards the Eid prayer ground).
