Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Narrations about the righteous to ease hardships
Hadith Number: 2917
اخبرنا ابو عروبة ، اخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن عمرو البجلي ، اخبرنا زهير بن معاوية ، اخبرنا الاعمش ، عن شقيق ، عن عبد الله، ان رجلا قال لشيء قسمه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: ما عدل في هذا؟ قال: فقلت: والله لاخبرن رسول الله، فاخبرته، فقال: " يرحم الله موسى، قد كان يصيبه اشد من هذا، ثم يصبر" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed something, and a man said about it: "Justice was not done in this." The narrator says: I said, "By Allah! I will surely inform Allah's Messenger about this." I informed the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "May Allah have mercy on Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him); he was harmed with more than this, but still he remained patient."
