باب ما جاء في الصبر وثواب الأمراض والأعراض - ذكر حط الله جل وعلا الخطايا عن المسلم بالأمراض كالورق عن الأشجار إذا حطت
Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Allah removes sins from the Muslim through illness like leaves fall from trees
Hadith Number: 2927
اخبرنا الحسين بن محمد بن ابي معشر بحران، قال: حدثنا محمد بن وهب بن ابي كريمة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن سلمة ، عن ابي عبد الرحيم ، عن زيد بن ابي انيسة ، عن ابي الزبير ، عن جابر بن عبد الله ، عن نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " ما يمرض مؤمن ولا مؤمنة، ولا مسلم ولا مسلمة إلا حط الله بذلك خطاياه كما تنحط الورقة عن الشجرة" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whenever a believing man or woman falls ill, or (the narrator is in doubt or perhaps these are the words) a Muslim man or woman falls ill, Allah Almighty, because of that, wipes away their sins just as a tree sheds its leaves."
