Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Reward for one who loses his two precious things (eyes)
Hadith Number: 2930
اخبرنا اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا يعقوب بن ماهان ، حدثنا هشيم ، قال ابو بشر اخبرني، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: يقول الله تبارك وتعالى: " إذا اخذت كريمتي عبدي، فصبر واحتسب، لم ارض له ثوابا دون الجنة" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty says: When I take away two beloved things (i.e., eyesight) from My servant and he remains patient and hopes for reward, then I am not pleased with any reward for him less than Paradise."
