Section on washing the deceased – Instruction to use incense for the deceased in odd numbers
Hadith Number: 3031
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير ، حدثنا يحيى بن آدم ، عن قطبة ، عن الاعمش ، عن ابي سفيان ، عن جابر ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا جمرتم الميت فاوتروا" .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you place stones (in the grave) for the deceased, place them in an odd number."
