كِتَابُ الجَنَائِزِ وَمَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِهَا مُقَدَّمًا أَوْ مُؤَخَّرًا

فصل في الصلاة على الجنازة - ذكر الإباحة للناس إذا أرادوا الصلاة على القبر أن يصطفوا وراء إمامهم
Section on the funeral prayer – Permissibility for people to line up behind the imam when praying at the grave
Hadith Number: 3092
اخبرنا محمد بن احمد بن ابي عون الرياني ، قال: حدثنا احمد بن منيع ، قال: حدثنا هشيم ، قال: حدثنا عثمان بن حكيم بن عباد بن حنيف ، عن خارجة بن زيد بن ثابت ، عن عمه يزيد بن ثابت ، وكان اكبر من زيد بن ثابت، وكان قد شهد بدرا، وزيد لم يشهد بدرا، قال: خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى البقيع، " فراى قبرا جديدا، فصففنا خلفه، وكبر عليه اربعا" .
Sayyiduna Yazid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), who was older than Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) and had the honor of participating in the Battle of Badr, whereas Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) did not have the honor of participating in the Battle of Badr, (Sayyiduna Yazid bin Thabit, may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We went with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) towards Baqi‘. There, he (peace and blessings be upon him) noticed a new grave. We formed rows behind him (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said takbeer four times (while performing the funeral prayer for the deceased).
