فصل في الصلاة على الجنازة - ذكر البيان بأن المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى على النجاشي في اليوم الذي مات فيه
Section on the funeral prayer – Clarifying that the Prophet prayed over Najashi on the day he died
Hadith Number: 3098
اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان ، قال: حدثنا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، عن ابي هريرة ،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نعى للناس النجاشي، في اليوم الذي مات فيه، وخرج إلى المصلى، فصف بهم وكبر اربع تكبيرات .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) informed the people of the death of Najashi on the very day he passed away. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the Eid ground, arranged the people in rows, and said four takbirs (in the funeral prayer).
