Chapter on earning wealth lawfully and related matters – Permissibility for a man to gather wealth lawfully if he fulfills its rights
Hadith Number: 3210
اخبرنا محمد بن عمر بن يوسف ، قال: حدثنا نصر بن علي ، قال: اخبرنا ابو احمد الزبيري ، قال: حدثنا موسى بن علي ، قال: سمعت ابي ، انه سمع عمرو بن العاص ، يقول: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" يا عمرو، نعم المال الصالح مع الرجل الصالح" ، قال ابو حاتم: سمع هذا الخبر علي بن رباح، عن عمرو بن العاص، وسمعه من ابي القيس بدل عمرو، عن عمرو، فالطريقان جميعا محفوظان.
Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Amr! The best wealth is the righteous wealth that is in the possession of a righteous man." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Ali bin Rabah heard this narration from Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him), and he heard this narration from Abu Qais on the authority of Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him); both of these chains are preserved.
