Chapter: Virtue of Zakat – Clarifying That Charity Does Not Decrease Wealth but Increases It
Hadith Number: 3248
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل ، حدثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر ، عن العلاء ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " ما نقصت صدقة من مال، ولا زاد الله عبدا بعفو إلا عزا، ولا تواضع احد لله إلا رفعه الله" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Charity does not decrease wealth, and as a result of forgiving, Allah Almighty increases the honor of the servant, and whoever adopts humility for the sake of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty grants him elevation."
