Voluntary Charity – Recommending to Give Charity During One’s Lifetime as Much as Possible
Hadith Number: 3334
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، حدثنا ابن ابي فديك ، حدثنا ابن ابي ذئب ، عن شرحبيل ، عن ابي سعيد ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لان يتصدق المرء في حياته وصحته بدرهم خير له من ان يتصدق بمائة درهم عند موته" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If a man gives one dirham in charity during his lifetime and while he is healthy, it is better for him than giving one hundred dirhams in charity when he is near death."
