Chapter on Making Up Missed Fasts - No make-up or expiation for one who eats forgetfully in Ramadan
Hadith Number: 3521
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة ، حدثنا إبراهيم بن محمد بن مرزوق الباهلي ، بالبصرة، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الانصاري ، حدثنا محمد بن عمرو ، عن ابي سلمة ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من افطر في شهر رمضان ناسيا، فلا قضاء عليه، ولا كفارة" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever eats something forgetfully during the month of Ramadan, then making up (the fast) is not obligatory upon him, nor is expiation obligatory upon him."
