Chapter on Fasting While Traveling - Clarifying that both fasting and breaking the fast while traveling are permissible
Hadith Number: 3561
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن السامي ، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن ايوب المقابري ، قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر ، قال: اخبرني حميد، عن انس بن مالك ، انه قال:" سافرنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في رمضان، وصام صائمنا، وافطر مفطرنا، فلم يعب الصائم على المفطر، ولا المفطر على الصائم" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were traveling with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) during Ramadan. Some of us were fasting, and some were not fasting. So the fasting person did not object to the one who was not fasting, and the one who was not fasting did not object to the fasting person.
