فصل في صوم يوم الشك - ذكر خبر أوهم من لم يحكم صناعة الحديث أنه مضاد هذا الفعل المزجور عنه
Section on Fasting the Day of Doubt - A report that may mislead some into thinking it contradicts the discouraged act
Hadith Number: 3587
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن الحجاج السامي ، قال: حدثنا مهدي بن ميمون ، عن ثابت ، عن مطرف ، عن عمران بن حصين ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال له او لرجل:" اصمت من سرر هذا الشهر شيئا؟"، قال: لا، قال: " فإذا افطرت فصم يوما او يومين" .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, or perhaps to another person: Have you fasted any days from the end of this month? He replied: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you do not fast (any voluntary fasts) in a month, then fast one or two days.
