Virtues of Medina - The Prophet’s (peace be upon him) intention to expel the People of the Book from Medina
Hadith Number: 3753
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا المؤمل بن إسماعيل ، عن سفيان ، عن ابي الزبير ، عن جابر ، عن عمر ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لئن عشت إن شاء الله لاخرجن اليهود، والنصارى من جزيرة العرب، حتى لا يبقى فيها إلا مسلم" .
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "If Allah wills and I remain alive, I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula, until only Muslims remain in it."
