Entering Mecca - Recommendation to kiss the Black Stone during tawaf
Hadith Number: 3821
اخبرنا ابن قتيبة ، قال: حدثنا حرملة ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرنا يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن سالم بن عبد الله ، ان اباه حدثه، قال: قبل عمر بن الخطاب الحجر، ثم قال:" والله لقد علمت انك حجر، ولولا اني رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقبلك ما قبلتك" .
Salim bin Abdullah narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both): Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, kissed the Black Stone and said: By Allah! I know that you are a stone; if I had not seen the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you.
