Shaving and Sacrifice – On the Command to Sacrifice and Stone for Those Who Shaved and Slaughtered Before Them, with No Sin Upon Them
Hadith Number: 3877
اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان الطائي ، اخبرنا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عيسى بن طلحة بن عبيد الله، عن عبد الله بن عمرو ، قال: وقف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في حجة الوداع بمنى للناس، يسالونه، فجاءه رجل، فقال: يا رسول الله لم اشعر، فحلقت قبل ان اذبح؟، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" اذبح ولا حرج"، فجاءه رجل آخر، فقال: يا رسول الله، لم اشعر فنحرت قبل ان ارمي؟، فقال:" ارم ولا حرج"، فما سئل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن شيء قدم ولا اخر إلا، قال:" افعل ولا حرج" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was standing in Mina for the people. People were asking you questions about issues. A man came to you and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! I did not know and I performed the sacrifice before the stoning. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Now perform the stoning, there is no harm. (The narrator says:) That day, whenever anyone asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about doing something before or after its proper time, you would say: Now do it, there is no harm.
