Stoning the Jamarat During the Days of Tashreeq – On Clarifying That This Permission for al-Abbas Was a Concession, Not an Obligation
Hadith Number: 3890
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا عيسى بن يونس ، عن عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر :" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رخص للعباس ان يبيت بمكة ايام منى من اجل سقايته" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) to spend the nights of the days of Mina in Makkah, because he had to provide (Zamzam) water to the pilgrims.
