Section – On the Report Indicating That the Ruling for Women in Postnatal Bleeding Is the Same as for Menstruating Women
Hadith Number: 3901
اخبرنا عمر بن محمد الهمداني ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا معاذ بن هشام ، قال: حدثني ابي ، عن يحيى بن ابي كثير ، قال: حدثنا ابو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن ، ان زينب بنت ام سلمة حدثته، ان ام سلمة ، حدثتها، قالت: بينما انا مضجعة مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في الخميلة، إذ حضت فانسللت، فاخذت ثياب حيضتي، فقال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " انفست؟"، قلت: نعم، فدعاني، فاضجعت معه في الخميلة .
Sayyida Zainab bint Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) told her this: Once I was lying under a blanket with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and during that time I started menstruating. I got up and left, put on my menstrual clothes (and returned). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked me: "Did you start menstruating?" I replied: "Yes." So the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) called me, and I lay down with him under the blanket.
