Chapter on What Is Permitted and Not Permitted for the Muhrim – On the Reason Why the Prophet Returned the Game Meat to al-Sa’b ibn Jaththamah
Hadith Number: 3971
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، حدثنا يعقوب بن عبد الرحمن الإسكندراني ، عن عمرو بن ابي عمرو ، عن المطلب ، عن جابر بن عبد الله ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " صيد البر حلال ما لم تصيدوه، او يصاد لكم" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The game of the land is lawful (for a person in Ihram) as long as you did not hunt it or it was not hunted for you."
