Chapter on Sacrificial Animals – On Permitting the One Driving the Sacrificial Animal to Ride It If He Wishes
Hadith Number: 4016
اخبرنا إبراهيم بن ابي امية بطرسوس، قال: حدثنا حامد بن يحيى البلخي ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن موسى بن ابي عثمان ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: راى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجلا يسوق بدنة، قال: " اركبها"، قال: إنها بدنة يا رسول الله، قال:" اركبها"، قال: إنها بدنة يا رسول الله، قال:" اركبها"، قال في الثالثة والرابعة:" اركبها ويلك" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man who was taking a sacrificial animal along with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ride on it. He replied: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! This is a sacrificial animal. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ride on it. He replied: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! This is a sacrificial animal. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ride on it. The third or fourth time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May you be ruined, ride on it.
