Hadith Number: 4106
اخبرنا حامد بن محمد بن شعيب ، حدثنا سريج بن يونس ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن الزهري ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: جاء رجل من بني فزارة إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إن امراتي وضعت غلاما اسود، فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" هل لك من إبل؟"، قال: نعم، قال:" فما الوانها؟"، قال: حمر، قال:" هل فيها من اورق؟"، قال: إن فيها ورقا، قال:" فانى اتاه ذلك؟"، قال: عسى ان يكون نزعه عرق، قال:" وهذا عسى ان يكون نزعه عرق" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man from the tribe of Banu Fazarah came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: My wife has given birth to a black child. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked: Do you have camels? He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: What is their color? He replied: Red. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Is there any gray among them? He replied: There is one gray among them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Where did that come from? He replied: Some vein must have pulled it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Then perhaps some vein has pulled this one too.

اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا سفيان بن عيينة ، عن الزهري ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رجلا من بني فزارة اتى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إن امراتي ولدت غلاما اسود، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" هل لك من إبل؟"، قال: نعم، قال:" فما الوانها؟"، قال: حمر، قال:" فهل فيها من اورق؟"، فقال: إن فيها لورقا، قال:" فانى تراه ذلك؟"، فقال: عسى ان يكون نزعه عرق، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" وهذا عسى ان يكون نزعه عرق" ، حدثناه عبد الله مرة اخرى، وقال: إن امتي ولدت، قال ابو حاتم: قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" هل لك من إبل"، ثم تعقيبه هذه اللفظة بقول:" فما الوانها" لفظة استخبار عن هذا الشيء مرادها الزجر عن استعمال المرء في فراشه بوسوسة الشيطان إياه، او بتباين الصورتين عند وجود الشخص من الشخص المقدم، ما عسى ان ياثم في استعماله.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man from the tribe of Banu Fazarah came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: My wife has given birth to a black child. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Do you have camels? He replied: Yes. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: What is their color? He replied: Red. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Are there any gray ones among them? He replied: There are gray ones among them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: What do you think, where did that come from? He replied: Perhaps some vein has pulled it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: So here (i.e., regarding your child) also, perhaps some vein has pulled it. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says) When the narrator named Abdullah narrated this hadith to us a second time, he reported these words: "My slave woman has given birth to a child." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him), "Do you have camels?" and then his question, "What is their color?"—literally, these words seem to be seeking information about something, but what is meant is: A person should protect himself from the whisperings of Satan regarding his children, or in such a situation, protect himself from the whisperings of Satan when the appearance of the child is different from the father, because it is possible that acting upon such whisperings may lead him to sin.
