Chapter: Prohibited marriages – Refuting the claim that only Nafi’ narrated this from Nabi bin Wahb
Hadith Number: 4124
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن رافع ، قال: حدثنا سريج بن النعمان ، قال: حدثنا فليح بن سليمان ، عن عبد الجبار بن نبيه بن وهب ، عن ابيه ، عن ابان بن عثمان ، عن عثمان ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا ينكح المحرم، ولا ينكح، ولا يخطب، ولا يخطب عليه" .
Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A person in the state of Ihram cannot marry," cannot arrange the marriage of another, cannot send a marriage proposal, and a marriage proposal cannot be sent to him.
