Book of Marriage
- باب معاشرة الزوجين - ذكر الأمر بالمداراة للرجل مع امرأته إذ لا حيلة له فيها إلا إياها
Chapter: Marital relations – Command for a man to be gentle with his wife, as she is his only recourse
Hadith Number: 4178
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم المروزي ، قال: حدثنا جعفر بن سليمان ، قال: حدثنا عوف ، عن ابي رجاء ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن المراة خلقت من ضلع، فإن اقمتها كسرتها، فدارها تعش بها" .
Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, woman was created from a rib. If you try to straighten her, you will break her. Live with her while taking this into consideration."
