Hadith Number: 4233
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن بشار ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن ابن عجلان ، عن سعيد المقبري ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: جاء رجل إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: يا رسول الله، عندي دينار فما اصنع به؟ قال:" انفقه على نفسك". قال: عندي آخر فما اصنع به؟ قال:" انفقه على اهلك". قال: عندي آخر؟ قال:" انفقه على ولدك". قال: عندي آخر فما اصنع به؟ قال:" انفقه على خادمك". قال: عندي آخر فما اصنع به؟ قال:" انت اعلم" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! I have one dinar, what should I do with it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Spend it on yourself. He said: I have another one, what should I do with it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Spend it on your wife. He asked: I have another one, what should I do with it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Spend it on your children. He said: I have another one, what should I do with it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Spend it on your servant. He said: I have another one, what should I do with it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: You know best.
